Mental Health

Transformative change

Mental health is fast emerging as a worldwide challenge, and the ambit of the crisis extends beyond existing medical science. We need accelerated scientific advancements, active policy measures, and intentional resources to tackle this crisis. Work in this area supports organisations facilitating research to advance the human understanding of severe mental health conditions. Additionally, in order to expand the number of people receiving mental health care, small grants are made to organisations providing direct therapy and relief.

OPPORTUNITIES

Mental health plays a central role in how people relate to life. Good mental health has a direct impact on people’s ability to make decisions, maintain or improve their quality of life, and subsequently create a healthier society.

Access to treatment, prevention, diagnosis, and recovery is important. Just as it is vital to reduce stigma around mental health and actively promote mental health treatment. A convergence of medical practices and deep tech interventions could build a strong foundation upon which mental health can be effectively managed and treated.
